RESIDENTS in a Hampshire village are preparing for the biggest annual event in their community calendar.
The North Baddesley Village Day will see a host of activity at the Recreational Ground in Sandy Lane on Saturday. There will be stalls selling local produce and refreshments, as well as games and shows from local schools and businesses, at the ground from 10am until 4pm.
There will be a fun fair from tomorrow evening, with rides and refreshments running into the night until Monday.
Alan Dowden, county councillor for North Baddesley, said that the event was particularly good for local businesses, which can promote their services.
He said: "It is extremely popular and it gives the community a chance to see what is happening in their area. We are all hoping the sunny weather will hold and it will be a really good day."
