NOW in its 75th season and with more than 60 years of performing at the Anvil, the Basingstoke Symphony Orchestra continues to uplift people with its music.
Come and hear the orchestra perform music especially for young people with the help of the wonderful acoustics of Basingstoke's Anvil tomorrow night. Stephen Scotchmer will be conducting the orchestra through various pieces including Bruch's Violin concerto no. 1 in G minor and Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra. The latter promises a perfect musical introduction to the modern orchestra and a wealth of highlights for more experienced listeners.
