YOUNG Indie band, The Kooks are coming to Southampton.
As part of their fifth UK tour this year they will be playing at the Guildhall on September 30.
Their music has been described as a mixture of Supergrass, Blur and the Kinks.
The band, originally from Brighton, consists of singer Luke Pritchard, guitarist Hugh Harris, bassist Max Raffety and Paul Garred on the drums.
Luke was the first band member and recruited Max Raffety at school. Virgin Records snapped them up after a four song debut at the Brighton Free Butt and now they are really moving.
Their debut album Inside In/Inside Out is currently number six and has been around for 14 weeks in Radio one's top 40 albums chart.
Meanwhile their single, Nave has been in the UK singles chart for 11 weeks and is number 26 this week.
Another single is to be released from their debut album. She Moves in Her Own Way, on June 26.
Tickets to the gig sold out within hours, but try the box office for late returns on 023 8063 2601.
