THE village hall setting was an apt venue for this musical variety show. With all the ingredients of a true community show, this performance brought the nostalgic feel of gentle, family entertainment from a bygone era.
The programme included all sorts from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to a tribute to Irving Berlin.
The show sparkled with Joyce Jones' and Julie Whale's fabulous costumes enhancing a slick production.
The whole company sang and danced well under the musical direction of Richard Daniels. There were also touches of humour. The company version of If I was not upon the stage' entertained, with appearances by Jamie Oliver', Barbara Windsor' and Harry Potter' to mention a few.
The stars of this show were the wonderful youngsters.
It was difficult to single people out, but the talented Hannah Duggan, Joseph Warne, Ryan Bishop, Kimberley Isaac and Sarah Bishop deserve special mention.
Last show Saturday.
Summer Variety Show, Otterbourne Village Hall.
