THE MUM of a teenager who was injured after she painted the cross of St George on her cheeks is considering taking legal action against the paint manufacturers.
Andrea Maclening, 42, of Lordshill, Southampton, has contacted solicitors after daughter Natasha Harris, 13, suffered a burning reaction when she painted the flag on her face for England's clash against Paraguay.
As reported in yesterday's Daily Echo, right, the teenager was left with red marks on both cheeks after she used the £1 pot of paint bought at QS for Saturday's match.
Face paint distributors Pierre Farber International Ltd refused to reveal which firm had made the product but issued a statement saying it had been made aware of Natasha's injury.
A spokesman said: "Tests are being undertaken to determine whether the reported reaction is attributable to the face paint or other factors."
Natasha, a pupil at Oaklands School in Lordshill, has been told she needs to take a month-long course of drugs.
