PEAR Tree Players are presenting a series of comedy sketches at Pear Tree Church Hall, Pear Tree Road, to celebrate their 30 year anniversary.

Play It Again' sees four short plays put together in a night of light entertainment.

The first, Henry Here After is a one-act special where Henry VIII and his many wives await their fate in the place between heaven and hell.

A Sherlock Holmes style spoof, Foul Play, follows, where mystery and mayhem meet music from Dr Who.

I'll Ring for More Toast is a riot of revolution set in the 1930's, with comical comrades and confident characters.

The evening ends with a performance of mini pantomime Cinderella, with the players adding their own comical twist to the classic fairy tale.

The sketches are the pick of the bunch from all the shows the players have performed over their 30 year history, and have always had audiences laughing along.

Young and old alike make up the 25 strong cast, and with such a variety of styles the show promises to be a veritable feast of amateur comedy at its best.

Tickets for tonight and tomorrow cost £4 and are available on 023 8039 8420.
