BRINGING manufacturing jobs back to Eastleigh, is the priority of UKIP's Ray Finch, 46.

The dad-of-one says if elected he would fight to protect the future of Ford and further investment into the plant, try to attract more rail firms to the area and continue to campaign against fluoridation.

On a national level he would try to secure Britain's independence from the EU, although insists the party wants to build friendly relationships with it.

Mr Finch has worked for Virgin Media as an engineer for 18 years after spending time in retail and as an events organiser.

He is originally from Liverpool but currently lives near Havant with his wife Debbie who work for HM Revenue and Customs.

If elected he says he will move to Eastleigh.

He said: "I campaigned against the cuts at Ford's and about plans to Fluoride in the water and I will be continuing to look at these issues if elected, it is important that politician do everything they can to revitalise the manufacturing industry in Eastleigh.

"I would like to see more jobs on the railway, Eastleigh has a proud railway tradition and I would like to see that revived."

Mr Finch lists his interests as football, boxing and growing his own food.

He has been Hampshire organiser for the party for four years.
