IT'S just one example of the annual explosion of talent that anyone can go and see in Winchester.
This weekend the school becomes Hampshire's largest art gallery as undergraduates in several disciplines show their final work.
Fashion students at Winchester School of Art have been making frantic last-minute preparations for their forthcoming show.
The budding Stella McCartneys or Paul Smiths are finishing their collections and hoping to catch the eye of industry professionals from London.
Their models will sashay down the catwalk at the fashion show this afternoon.
As well as fashion, from Saturday works from students in the fine art disciplines of painting, printmaking, sculpture, and visual art and the design disciplines of knitted, printed and woven textiles and textile art will be on show.
Prof Bashir Makhoul, head of school, said: "This year's show represents the culmination of an outstanding year for the school, with a large number of students nominated for and winning prestigious awards and employment in the industry."
Award-winning students include: Natalie Buckley, selected for the International Student Film Festival at the University of Winchester. Sarah Chan was shortlisted for the Mercury Art Prize. Knitted Textile Design student Abbie Storey won the Visionary Knitwear Award. The 2006 BA Degree Show takes place at Winchester School of Art, Park Avenue, between June 24-30.
The show is open Monday to Friday 11am-8pm and Saturday 11am-3pm.
