FAWLEY Parish Council has joined the online market place.
The council wants to top up its £800,000 a year budget by selling its unwanted items on the Internet.
Parish councillor and professional online trader of six years Andy Sheppard helped set up the account on eBay.
"It will allow the parish council to dispose of things they would normally throw away and gain a certain amount of income."
Parish clerk Malcolm Anderson said: "We have set it up because we believe you can get rid of all sorts of things that would normally end up in the bin."
Furniture and other more expensive items are planned to be added once the council has boosted its seller's rating.
