All-American Rejec The All-American Rejects have announced their biggest UK tour to date, including a confirmed date at The Southampton Guildhall on Wednesday September 26. Other venues include Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Cambridge, and Brixton.
Their single Dirty Little Secret has had considerable airplay time, reflecting the band's popularity here in the UK. This song, released last Monday, is the second single from their album Move Along, and will no doubt make an impact on the Sunday's official music chart, thanks to the interest generated prior to the release. The All-American Rejects' fanbase has expanded significantly after the band headlined the indie stage at this year's Download festival.
The band, hailing from Oklahoma, USA, was formed after Tyson Ritter (vocals, bass) met Nick Wheeler, (guitar, keyboards) at a high school party and began writing songs together in the late 1990s. Mike Kennerty (guitar, backing vocals) and Chris Gaylor (drums) joined in 2002.
The band was originally signed to independent label Doghouse, and opened shows for more established bands including the Flaming Lips before grabbing the attention of major label DreamWorks Records.
