ANOTHER children's organisation is backing the Daily Echo's drive to alert parents to the dangers of sleeping with their babies.
Busy Bees toddlers' group, which meets in the pre-school building behind Woolston Community Centre, in Church Road, has put up a Keep Them Safe campaign poster.
The poster is part of an awareness campaign by the Daily Echo aimed at alerting parents to the dangers of sleeping with their babies.
The Daily Echo launched the campaign after it was revealed that eight babies had died in just six months in Hampshire after falling asleep in the same bed as their parents.
It is backed by Southampton Primary Care Trust, Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust, Hampshire police and the Foundation for the Study of Infants Death (FSID).
Experts say the safest place for your baby to sleep is in a cot in your room for the first six months and you should never sleep with your baby on a sofa or armchair.
