A SCHOOL of rock for aspiring young musicians has been launched in Hampshire.
Like the TV show of the same name, it will bring together beginners and have them "jamming" together by the end of their first session.
Alex Brackley, 30, from Fawley, is a former pupil of Christ's Hospital School, where the Channel 4 show was filmed.
Inspired by the show and wishing it had happened when he was at the school, Alex has teamed up with Clive Brooks of Easy Learn Pop Music Schools to bring the concept to the Waterside. "Clive's done away with boring theory and made music-making simple, fun and direct," said Alex, who wants to get those with no musical experience on stage fast and raise money in charity gigs.
The School of Rock is running at Waterside Sports and Social Club in Holbury.
