ONE person is thought to have died following an explosion at a Hampshire business.
All emergency services were called to the blast at ML Wallop Defence Systems at Over Wallop that was reported just after 3.20pm today.
Police and fire fighters were this afternoon dealing with the incident that is thought to have been caused by an oven. Further explosions were not being ruled out.
Roads in the surrounding area were closed and staff evacuated from the site.
Initial reports were that the explosion had spread over up to an acre of land.
A Hampshire police spokesman confirmed an explosion had been reported and that further explosions were a possibility.
He said: "There has been an incident. An oven caused the explosion and other explosions are considered a possibility.
"Early reports suggest there is one fatality."
