Good morning Hampshire!

The main story overnight was the explosion yesterday afternoon at a factory site near Andover in which one person was killed.

Emergency services were called to the blast at a business at ML Wallop Defence Systems at Over Wallop that was reported just after 3.20pm.

Fire investigators are looking into the cause of the explosion, and in today's Daily Echo we feature reports, including an eye-witness account, and photographs from the site.

The Daily Echo will also be reporting from Ordnance Survey in Southampton which has been the focus of attention over strike action in a bitter dispute about pay.

And we feature the the bizarre story of the 89-year-old man who had to climb 30 feet up a ladder top break into his own house in Southampton after thieves stole his house keys from his car.

In sport, guess which Saints player failed to turn up to the first day of training at Staplewood? And no, it wasn't Agustin Delgado!

And with one week to go to the Saints' EGM, we bring you the latest news from both camps, including more celebrity support for Michael Wilde's team.

It's all in today's Southern Daily Echo. Don't miss it!
