FAIRIES, pirates and footballers turned out to toddle their way around Eling Recreation Ground in Totton for a children's charity.
The tots in fancy dress from Steeping Stones Day Nursery in Eling Lane were accompanied by parents and grandparents.
The under fives were taking part in The Barnardo's Big Toddle, a half-mile sponsored walk in aid of disadvantaged young children.
"They had a nice walk around the edge of the field, then enjoyed a picnic," said nursery manager Tracey Griffiths.
"The youngest was only 14 months and had only just learnt to walk."
Afterwards the walkers cooled off in a paddling pool on the rec.
