A WOMAN of 88 was robbed in a busy Hampshire supermarket after being stalked by two men.
The pair followed the pensioner around the Ringwood branch of Waitrose before snatching her handbag in full view of shoppers and then running away.
The men, who got away with £70 in cash, were caught on a closed-circuit TV camera as they strolled through the town centre.
Police believe they had seen their victim outside Waitrose and followed her.
PC Lawrence McKenna said: "It was a busy afternoon in the middle of Ringwood.
"These men followed the woman for some time before snatching her bag and causing her considerable distress and worry.
"I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and recognises these men to come forward."
The robbers struck on Tuesday, June 20.
One of the men was white, slim and had fair hair. He was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white trainers.
His accomplice was slightly shorter, with short dark hair. He was wearing a striped T-shirt, grey or light brown trousers and brown shoes.
Call PC McKenna on 0845 045 4545 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
