THE family of a man killed in a Hampshire factory when an oven exploded have spoken of their heartbreak at his death.
Anthony Mark Sheridan, 37, died as a result of the blast at Wallop Defence Systems in Craydown Lane, Over Wallop on Monday afternoon.
Mr Sheridan, of Pound Road, Over Wallop, had worked at the factory, which makes hi-tech electronic countermeasures and decoys for aircraft, since 2003.
His sister, Tracy Fudge, 31, said: "I speak on behalf of my whole family when I say that Anthony was the best brother anyone could ever have," she said.
"He had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. He was a family-oriented man and always wanted a family of his own. Tragically, this cannot now happen.
"My parents and family, who live in Northen Ireland, cannot believe that we will never see Anthony again and his death has broken our hearts."
Four others sustained minor injuries.
Homes and businesses miles from the centre of the explosion were rocked by the blast on Monday at about 3.20pm.
