ONE of TV's most feared baddies has made a comeback on screen but one Dalek will come in peace when it visits a Southampton children's charity.
The Rose Road Association has invited a gold Dalek, of Doctor Who fame, as its special guest at this year's annual Rose Road Day, taking place tomorrow.
Among the number of fun-filled activities on the day will be music, entertainment, morris dancing, local children's choirs, a tombola, cream teas, a raffle, tours of the new building and an opportunity to be photographed with the special guest.
Bridgett Vane, of the Rose Road Association, said: "The team here are having great fun planning Rose Road Day 2006.
"There will be so much going on, and something for everyone, plus some special visitors like our gold Dalek, although I can guarantee this one comes in peace.
"We always welcome any contributions to the day, such as cakes, raffle prizes or bric-a-brac."
The Rose Road Day, which is being held at the charity's headquarters in Aldermoor Road, is hoping to raise money for the charity which looks after and supports children and young people with severe, profound and multiple disabilities.
The day starts from 1pm to 4pm and the cost of entry is 50p for adults and free for accompanied children.
The event runs from 1pm to 4pm and promises to be a full, fun-packed day for all the family.
Anyone wishing to contribute any items to the Rose Road Day can take them to the charity's base in Aldermoor Road or call 023 8072 1234 for more information.
