A BUSINESSMAN was found hanged at his home after his marriage broke down, an inquest heard.
Stephen Vibert’s wife Jennifer called police when she found the body of her 44- year-old husband in the garden shed.
Southampton Coroner’s Court heard how for one or two weeks before his death Mrs Vibert and her children were not living with the 44- year-old, who ran his own plumbing and heating business, but they still had regular contact.
Mrs Vibert went to check on him at the home at Heath Road, Hordle, in Lymington at around 7.30am on March 7, following some texts the evening before to find him dead.
The court heard how the couple’s marriage had broken down and Mr Vibert was very upset.
In recording a verdict of suicide, coroner Keith Wiseman said having considered the evidence he had no doubt that the breakdown of the pair’s marriage was “a matter of considerable significance”.
