A DRUG addict has been given a 12-month community order after pleading guilty to shoplifting from two supermarkets.
Samantha Hathaway, 32, of Efford Way, Lymington, stole £40 worth of goods from Marks and Spencer in Lymington on July 9 last year while already on a community order.
Winchester Crown Court also heard that she took £167 of property from Asda in Totton on March 29 last year.
Hathaway, who has 11 convictions for 27 offences including drug offences and driving matters, said she had battled drug addiction since she was 18.
Judge Guy Boney QC warned her she faced jail if she offended again.
