A HAMPSHIRE teenager took his own life after falling out with his ex-partner, an inquest heard today.
Aaron Humphries was found hanged in woodland in Dibden Purlieu in March this year.
His body was discovered by a boy on his morning walk to Noadswood School.
Southampton Coroner's Court heard how head teacher Alex Bernard rushed to the scene and lowered the body to the ground with the aid the school deputy.
But medics pronounced him dead on arrival and he was soon identified on account of his appearance and the tattoo he had on his shoulder of the Grim Reaper.
The court was told how Aaron had become depressed after falling out with an ex-partner who he still loved, he sent a text message signalling his intention the night before the tragedy.
The next day his family who live in Cleveland Drive, Dibden Purlieu, became concerned after discovering he had left home without his mobile and wallet.
After his death Aaron's devastated parents Sue and Paul paid tribute to a "phenomenally special" son. More than 100 friends and relatives celebrated the life of the former Applemore College student at an impromptu gathering at The Heath Hotel two days after Aaron's death.
Southampton coroner Keith Wiseman recorded a verdict of suicide.
