THREE swords, a 12in Indian combat knife, a tailor-made fighting knife and razors and flick knives.
These were among the 63 blades received in one police station in Southampton during the last month of a knife amnesty, which ended on Friday.
The weapons were handed in at Portswood police station as part of a countywide crackdown on knife crime. In total 87 blades were handed in at the police station.
"I've not seen something as horrible as this one before," said Portswood station enquiry officer Dave Maddison, above, holding what he described as a Chinese-made "fighting knife".
"We've got some switchblade knives but for one to be designed to be gripped in a punch position is quite unusual.
"It cannot be used for anything else but to stab someone."
Mr Maddison said the knife belonged to a 15-year-old, who was given it as a gift by a family friend who visited China. His mother handed it in.
"What's worrying is how her friend brought it back from the Far East and got through customs," he said.
Mr Maddison said most of the blades were domestic knifes, adding: "A lot are brought in by elderly people. But that's a good thing because we will destroy them and they won't get on to the streets."
Anyone with a knife can continue drop them into Hampshire police stations but may be required to give their details.
