A FLAGSHIP Southampton academy is to merge on to a single site two years early because of a drop in pupil numbers, the Daily Echo can reveal.
Shifting to a single site will mean jobs are cut at the city’s Oasis Academy Lord’s Hill.
But last night bosses would not say how many staff could be made redundant.
The cost-cutting move comes in response to lower student numbers, but academy chiefs insist it will make it easier for pupils and teachers currently working on sites a mile apart.
