THE VENUE for the final of Southampton’s most glamorous competition has been moved just days before it takes place.
Organisers of the Miss Southampton competition have been forced to change the venue after a lack of confirmation from the original hosts.
The shortlisted group of 30 local lovelies had been set to hit the catwalk at the Oceana nightclub in Leisure World on Saturday but organisers said the venue would not confirm their booking.
With the date edging ever nearer All Image Solutions, who run the event, decided to change to the new Club Rosso club in Town Quay.
The winner will be selected from 30 hopefuls and will go on to represent the city at the Miss England competition.
Karen Rogers, principal organiser for the final, said: “We’re really excited about the new venue, it’s only been open for eight weeks.
“We were alerted to it by one of the finalists so we went to have a look, it was just gorgeous and it’s going to lend itself to a great night.
“It’s great to have a venue that’s keen to host the event as well.”
Entry to the grand final hosted by Strictly Come Dancing star Camilla Dallerup, pictured, is just £5 and doors open at 7pm.
