THE NATIONAL Trust has urged nature lovers to escape to the countryside to see native British bluebells which have bloomed in spectacular displays.
They say people usually see the invasive Spanish bluebell but now scented British bluebells, which are endangered due to loss of habitat, climate change and people uprooting bulbs for gardens, can now be seen on walks in the ancient woodlands at Mottisfont near Romsey.
