A RENOWNED artist has painted an exclusive piece on the wall of a Hampshire exhibition space.
John Burgerman, whose energetic and colourful drawings have been used by Sony and Apple, created the artwork at Winchester Discovery Centre to launch a two-month exhibition.
But the piece has a limited lifespan – it will be painted over when the exhibition, called ‘Brain Drain’, ends in mid-July.
The 30-year-old said: “I’m draining my brain when I create the work, I’m wringing out ideas and anxieties and concepts and putting them on the page.
“Hopefully when people come to the exhibition there’s an overall dialogue running through everything. It might not be obvious straight away but the more you see the more you learn the visual language I’m talking in.”
Kirsty Nutbeen, curator, said: “I’m really excited about this – it’s what I’ve been looking forward to all year.”
‘Brain Drain’ is at Winchester Discovery Centre from May 14 – July 11.
