PEDAL-powered rickshaw rides are set to begin around historic Winchester.
Jonathan Andrews has secured a six-month deal with civic chiefs to run tours around the medieval sights.
If it proves popular, the rickshaws – already a common sight in Brighton and London – could become permanent fixtures.
He will ride the machine himself on May 31 and is offering a range of deals, starting with a ten-minute tour of the medieval city, costing £6. Council chiefs have granted him a special taxi licence that exempts him from having to operate across the district.
