PORTSMOUTH fans heading for Wembley face further misery this morning after a serious crash on a Hampshire motorway.
Three lanes on the M3 remain closed after a boat came off the back of a trailer and overturned at 8.40am this morning.
The accident happened northbound between J14 M27 and J13 A335 (Chandlers Ford).
Lane one and the hard shoulder are open to traffic but Portsmouth fans heading to watch the FA Cup final at Wembley are being warned to expect significant delays. There is also congestion on the M27 now.
The news follows earlier disruption for fans after a wheelie bin was left on a Hampshire track.
A wheelie bin had got stuck underneath a train at Liphook, causing a 50 per cent reduction on all services travelling from Portsmouth to London.
Portsmouth fans travelling to watch their team play Chelsea in the FA Cup this afternoon were warned to expect significant delays to early morning services.
The wheelie bin has now been removed and all services are running as normal.
