IT was an oar-some day as fundraisers took to the water for the fifth annual Hamble River Raid.
After pushing off from Hamble Quay, nine teams rowed around a six-mile course to the Jolly Sailor pub and back to raise £500 for the Hamble Sea Scouts and Hamble River Rowing Club.
Record-breaking Hampshire disabled sailor Geoff Holt sounded the starting horn as a crowd of around 100 people gathered to watch. The first team back was Constance with a time of 57mins 34 seconds, second in was Mistress in 59.59 and third was Sea Dart (under 16s) at 1hour 01.
