FUNDRAISING for Joe Glover, a boy battling a rare form of cancer, is gathering pace.
Lesley Holder is staging a fundraising event at the Wesley Church Hall, Stoney Lane, Weeke, Winchester, on Saturday at 11.30am.
Childminder Lesley is a friend of Joe's aunt.
So far some £17,500 has been raised mainly by people in eight-year-old Joe's home village of Colden Common.
Joe, pictured, is fighting a rare form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He has had a successful series of radiotherapy and is back almost full-time at primary school.
His parents, Paul and Max, of Piping Green, are looking to take Joe to the United States for treatment.
The Dog and Crook pub in Brambridge is staging a fund-raising day on July 20.
