Hampshire sailor Geoff Holt, pictured, the first quadriplegic to sail solo across the Atlantic, is set to tell his story at the Nuffield theatre in Southampton.
The journey, which took a month to complete, saw Geoff travel across some of the most hostile waters in the world.
A diving accident in shallow water left Geoff paralysed from the chest down and he has been confined to a wheelchair ever since.
Geoff’s journey finished on the beach of Tortola in the British Virgin Islands where the accident happened, 25 years ago.
The sailor will tell his story at the Nuffield theatre on Monday May 24 at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £15 and all money raised will be donated in aid of Southern Spinal Injuries Trust. For more information and to buy tickets visit nuffieldtheatre.co.uk or call 023 8067 1771.
