A MAN was punched and robbed by a gang who followed him on push-along scooters.
The 52-year-old was hit several times in the face by the trio, who had followed him for a mile in the Bitterne Manor area of Southampton.
Police are appealing for information about those responsible for the assault.
All three attackers were white. The first was about 17 years old and had short, curly black hair. He was wearing a blue and yellow striped top, blue jeans and black trainers.
His accomplices were aged between 13 and 15. One had mousey brown hair and wore a grey tracksuit top and light grey trousers, the other was wearing a grey and blue tracksuit top and had dark hair.
Witnesses to the assault, which happened shortly before 5am on May 18, should contact PC Russell Scorey at Bitterne on 101.
