Protest for voting reform
MORE than 150 demonstrators are today set to stage a rally in Southampton demanding a change in the voting system.
Demonstrators will be wearing purple – the colour of the suffragettes – as part of a campaign for fairer representation.
The Government has pledged a referendum on the alternative vote system but the Take Back Parliament coalition wants a fairer proportional system.
The rally will be at 12pm in the High Street near the WestQuay centre.
