WHEN it comes to helping others, Ellie-May Murphy is a cut above the rest.
Not only has she had her thigh-length strawberry blonde hair chopped off but she has also helped young cancer patients too.
The ten-year-old, who attends Millbrook’s Holy Family School, now sports a short stylish bob after raising nearly £500 for the Piam Brown children’s cancer ward at Southampton General Hospital.
And her lovely locks will also be donated to the ward so that it can be turned into wigs for children who lose their hair undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
The cut was carried out at Cream Hairdressing in Bedford Place, Southampton.
