Man charged with attempted child abduction
A MAN has been charged after an attempt was made to snatch a 9-year-old girl from a Hampshire street.
Gareth Owen Head, 30, of no fixed abode, was arrested in Portsmouth at 0.30am on Sunday, May 23.
He was charged following the incident in Tukes Avenue, Gosport, on Thursday, May 13.
Head appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates court on Monday, May 24 and was remanded into custody for a further hearing at the magistrates court on Friday, May 28.
