JEERING and threatening rival fans and attacking a car with a woman and her elderly mother inside.
Those were the scenes that were played out to a court as two more football thugs who were tracked down after CCTV footage of them was published in the Daily Echo admitted their crimes.
In contrast to the ugly scenes on screen, Maurice Bagley and Richard Stone sat suited in the dock at Southampton Magistrates Court, their heads bowed in shame.
Both spoke of their remorse as they pleaded guilty to their part in the hooliganism that marred the FA Cup clash between Southampton and Portsmouth at St Mary’s.
The court heard how Bagley, 46, of Lytham Road in Southampton, ran at a car parked in Britannia Road.
Prosecutor Emma Currie described how Bagley was captured on film kicking the car that was being driven by a female Portsmouth fan, with her elderly mother in the passenger seat, causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.
When the driver got out of the Ford Focus to confront Bagley he launched a verbal attack on her before she drove away.
Bagley told the court: “I’m ashamed and embarrassed at what I did. It was tunnel vision to be honest, I was mad.”
In a separate hearing, Stone, 33, of Masefield Road, Southampton, spoke of his remorse at taunting Portsmouth fans as they made their way from the ground on a bus after the match on February 13. Officers caught him on camera banging on a window and swearing.
Ms Currie said: “There was a small child on the bus near to where he banged on a window. The Crown says his behaviour was continuous and abusive. Despite warnings from PCSOs he was heard saying ‘C’mon, let’s ’ave it’.”
Bagley was fined £300 after pleading guilty to a public order offence, £200 after admitting criminal damage to the Ford Focus and ordered to pay £864.32 repair costs.
Stone admitted a public order offence for which he was fined £300. Both men were ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge. Both were also handed football banning orders for three years.
Steve Noyce, 47, from Sedburgh Road, Southampton, and Eddie Mattison, 33, from Lower Northam Road, Hedge End, also appeared at court to face charges of affray.
Neither entered pleas and were bailed until July 23.
