THE body of a baby has been found at a Hampshire railway station.
The child - a newborn girl - has suffered injuries and the case is now being treated as a murder investigation.
The discovery was made yesterday morning at Fleet train station in the north of the county, by a cleaner who was emptying bins, around 11.20am.
Police are investigating the find and are appealing for the mother to come forward, as they fear for her well-being.
Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Hampshire Constabulary or British Transport Police.
