PUPILS have made a final progress check on trees they planted at a Hampshire farm three years ago.
Dozens of youngsters from King’s Somborne Primary School, near Winchester, visited How Park Farm to see how hazel trees they sowed in 2007 were getting on.
Farm owner Caroline Halse transformed her plot from a gravel pit into woodland and invited the schoolchildren to get involved in the project. The 31 pupils, who were seven at the time, are now about to head off to secondary school.
They are pictured with reception year children who will take over the project.
