POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two youths sneaked into a Southampton teenager's home and threatened her with a knife.
The 17-year-old had let an acquaintance into her home on Lodge Road yesterday (May 27) but asked two youths accompanying her to wait outside as she didn't know them.
As the victim was speaking to the woman she became aware the youths were in the house.
One of the youths, who was carrying a knife, then demanded her cash. She handed over a purse containing some money and they ran off along Lodge Road towards Oxford Road.
The woman she had originally been speaking to then left the house. The victim ran after her and they argued in the street near to the Travel Inn in Lodge Road. The incident happened between 6.30pm and 7pm.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Burglary Unit at Hulse Road on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently being questioned by police.
