TOGETHER they have celebrated 75 years of wedded bliss.

And to mark the occasion Grace, 100, and Charles Nice, 98, of Hedge End enjoyed a party with family and friends at Alresford Golf Club.

Their son Trevor, 70, put his parents’ happiness down to them being complete opposites.

“They are like chalk and cheese,” he said “They have both experienced hardship having lived through two world wars.

“They had an old-fashioned view that my father, who was an accountant, earned the money and my mum looked after the children. It worked.”

The couple have two sons, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
