Having suffered the pain of breast cancer two Hampshire women and their husbands have come together to arrange a Make a Difference Ball in Southampton on June 12.
Kate and Malcolm Brackley and Annabel and Nigel Stewart have already sold 275 tickets for the event which is raising cash for the Wessex Cancer Trust, Women for Women and Sands. With auction prizes including a trip to Tottenham Hotspur to meet players and manager Harry Redknapp and raffle prizes topped by a week in a Spanish villa, the ball at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel is not to be missed.
Doors open at 7pm and tickets for the black tie event cost £75 inclusive of a £25 gift aid donation with organisers hoping to raise £40,000 from the evening. For details go to makeadifferenceball.org.
