A VILLAGE playground near Bishop’s Waltham has been transformed after a five-figure lottery grant.
Villagers in Upham have been celebrating the completion of the revamped play area at the recreation ground. The change was made possible by a grant of £54,500 from the Big Lottery Fund’s changing spaces inititative. It is designed to appeal to more than just the very young and also includes things for teenagers as well as a fitness trail.
The village marked the opening with a ribbon cutting by four generations of the Dunford family, including Bradley Dunford, 13, and Ann Judd from Upham Parish Council.
