POLICE are trying to find out how a man suffered facial injuries after he was found unconscious in an alley.
A member of the public found the 26-year-old behind HSBC in London Road, Southampton, with injuries to his face after a night out.
He was taken to Southampton General Hospital by ambulance and later told police that he did not know what had happened to him.
PC Jamie Sharp said: “We are trying to establish how this man received these injuries and are keen to talk to anyone who may have seen anything at this location between 12am and 12.20am on Wednesday, May 19.
“It is unknown if the man fell over or if he was the victim of an assault.”
