A HAMPSHIRE man with a history of drug problems died after an accidental overdose, an inquest has heard.
Keith Stone, 53, from Samphire Close in Lymington had taken large doses of the drug methadone before he was found dead at his home, Southampton Coroner’s Court was told.
The inquest also heard how he had bought the drug used to help treat heroin addicts illegally and had a history of being an “occasional user”. A post mortem revealed he had taken so much of the drug that his lungs had shut down and he stopped breathing.
Deputy coroner Gordon Denson recorded a verdict of accidental death.
