A Hampshire motorway has been reopened this morning after a man threatened to jump from a bridge.
The M27 was shut at 4.30am after officers were alerted to a man on a bridge over the carriageway.
They immediately closed the motorway in both directions while they tried to negotiate the man, who is on the bridge at Rownhams Lane, to safety.
Diversions were set up for drivers affected by the closure between junctions three and four. There are also diversions in place on the M3 southbound at junction 14.
But at 7.45am officers managed to talk the man down to safety and the road was reopened.
