HAMPSHIRE'S biggest Lido has finally reopened today a year after it was controversially closed.
It had been hoped Lymington Sea Water Baths would be back in business for the bank holiday, but the opening was called off at the last minute and postponed until this weekend.
But a final decision to fling open its doors was only made this morning after an emergency meeting of Lymington and Pennington Town Council.
The 176-year-old pool was closed last year over safety grounds - but insurance bosses gave the opening the nod this week and it was given a clean bill of health in water quality tests.
