A GROUNDBREAKING documentary filmed at a Southampton hospital has won a BAFTA.
Channel 4's One Born Every Minute won the gong for best factual series at the glittering award ceremony in London last night.
The show had millions of mums across the country hooked to goings on behind the scenes at Southampton's Princess Anne Hospital.
The eight one-hour episodes were filmed last October and followed the lives of expectant mothers and their families in the maternity unit.
Dr Jane Rogers, consultant midwife at the Princess Anne Hospital, Southampton University Hospitals NHS Trust, said: "We are all absolutely delighted for Channel 4 and production company Dragonfly TV on achieving such a coveted honour for what was a truly remarkable series created on the wards of our hospital and in the homes of our patients."
