ELECTRONICS giant Philips Semiconductors has sponsored one of its Southampton-based employees on a mission to help people who don't even have electricity Department manager Simon Bramwell took part in a two-week housebuilding project organised by international charity Habitat for Humanity.
The goal was to build a house for a Ugandan family who would otherwise be living in substandard conditions.
Simon was part of a team of friends from Romsey, led by Phil Ball, an employee with Southampton based construction firm Dyer & Butler.
The team also includes Romsey-based joiner Trevor Bond, builder Dick Ord and Volumes Bookshop manager Simon Hunter.
