A WHOLE street is coming together to watch England’s bid to win the World Cup.
Families in Sutherland Road, Lordshill, Southampton, have put out the bunting and flags in style as they gear up for Friday’s crunch match with Algeria in Cape Town.
Almost all the 13 houses are flying the St George’s flag.
The neighbours got together for a barbecue before Saturday’s first game with the USA before watching the 1-1 draw in Rustenburg.
Karen and Julian Shears have lived on the street for almost 30 years.
Karen, 54, a health worker, said: “We love football and we’ve got a great community spirit in our little close. It looks absolutely fantastic and we’re ready, we’re up for it and we’re going to see England win the World Cup.”
