PUTTING up with heavy rain, missing toenails and a colleague's snoring was all part of the adventure for 11 commercial property consultants during their 60-mile charity walking weekend around First World War battlefields.
The team from Vail Williams, including local Southampton staff, travelled to Ypres in Belgium for a weekend staying in Belgium army barracks.
They took part in three circular walks across the battlefields and have already raised £1,550 for the British Heart Foundation and the Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust.
The organised annual walk has been taking place for 35 years in Belgium and attracts members of the armed forces and civilians from many nationalities.
While they were there, the Vail Williams' team saw the Last Post Parade and laid a wreath at the Menin Gate.
One team member found the grave of his great grandfather, William Walter White, who fought at Ypres in the Royal Field Artillery's 80th brigade. He was killed in action in December 1915.
